This 900 sq. ft. Casita is nestled in the foothills of the Tortolita Mts. NW of Tucson, near the main house but with its own amenities, including solar panels on the roof, tasty well water from >1,000 ft. depth, speedy reliable wi-fi and internet-enabled large-screen TV. The views from huge picture windows are gorgeous, especially to the north and west. Native plantings are of numerous indigenous and exotic cactus species, and other native bushes and trees. We love it and think you will too.

Our Rancho Vistoso patio overlooks a greenbelt which has become a wildlife refuge. The patio offers dining and lounging, with the Amazing Mountain and Desert Sunset views. The Vistoso Casitas resort-like amenities include six miles of paved paths, a heated community pool/spa, Ramada with BBQ grills, exercise facility and clubhouse. We have spent hours biking throughout Oro Valley’s many miles of safe and scenic biking routes and hiking challenging mountain trails at nearby Catalina State Park.

This home is close to two trailheads (Sweetwater Preserve and Wasson Peak trailhead), making it a perfect place to rest from a long day of hiking and mountain biking, yet it's only 5 minutes from the freeway, and a 15 minute drive to downtown. It has private parking, a full kitchen, a king sized bed, a day bed, and a couch big enough (and comfortable enough) to sleep two. The ample porch has a table and chairs for outdoor dining, as well as some furniture for lounging.

If you love nature this casita is just for you. Located 15 minutes from downtown and only a few minutes from stunning hiking and mountain biking trails in the National Park.
